The Institution of Engineers (India), Mysore Local Centre successfully organized Energy Conservation Day 2025, featuring an insightful technical talk on
“Clean & Green Technologies for Sustainable Mysuru – Vision 2040.”
The event brought together engineers, academicians, and sustainability enthusiasts to deliberate on innovative approaches, clean energy adoption, and green technologies essential for Mysuru’s long-term sustainable development.
Key Highlights of the Event
- The technical talk was delivered by Er. Shamsundar Subbarao,
Head, NIE-CREST & Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIE Mysore,
who shared practical insights on renewable energy systems, energy efficiency, and sustainable urban planning aligned with Vision 2040. - The program was presided over by Er. H. S. Suresh Babu,
Chairman, IEI Mysore, who emphasized the critical role of engineers in driving energy conservation and climate-positive initiatives. - The event was held on Sunday, 14th December 2025, at S. P. Bhat Hall, The Institution of Engineers (India), JLB Road, Mysore.
- The session witnessed active participation, engaging discussions, and knowledge exchange on clean technologies relevant to Mysuru’s future growth.
