The IEI has several technical and professional communities focused on different areas of engineering and technology, providing a platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Membership strength stands at 219. To become a member of the Library one should be a Corporate member or Student Member of the Institution or Student of any Polytechnic or Engineering College or Institute in Mysore. Library Deposit is Rs.150/- only, which is refundable.
Library has good collections of Technical and AMIE Engineering books. Presently in the library, we have 4040 (5029) books including all divisions of Engineering

Sports facilities are open on all Working days from 4 P.M to 8 P.M.

The Mysore Local Centre of the Institution of Engineers (India) was established in 1964 and its present Corporate Membership strength is about 1600 and the Jurisdiction of the Local centre covers the five districts of Mysore , Mandya, Hassan, Kodagu and Chamarajanagar.
